The Workout Dr. offers Sport Specific Training for High School Athletes

We understand that one size does not fit all when it comes to training for sports. As the past Strength and Conditioning Coach and Assistant Head Coach at both Abington and Cheltenham High Schools, Troy Leatherbury is well-versed in the sports specific needs of student athletes.

He also served as Head Coach for the 8th grade boys’ basketball and Rise Academy, a H.S. Preparatory Basketball Program.

Each of our trainers are former athletes who know how to help you maximize your training experiences so that you can maintain your edge and improve.

Every sport has its specific focal points and every athlete is better at certain aspects of the sport than others. Some are fast runners while others are great jumpers or hitters. We’ll work with your child to improve where your child is already good so they excel. We’ll also help your athlete improve in the areas where he or she isn’t great.

Student athletes are under tremendous demands to perform well in their chosen sport and school. Their jam-packed schedules leave little time and that’s why we bring the workout to you.

This frees up some time so your student can keep up with family, school, and sport obligations and still remain one step ahead of the competition. Without the travel, pickups/drop-offs and bag packing, you can focus your energies on what you do best.
